The Punjab School Education Department will hold School-Based Assessment (SBA) exams from March 10, 2025, for grades 1 to 8 in government and PEF private schools under the Punjab Examination Commission (PEC). These exams are mandatory, and students will be promoted based on their results.
PEC will provide exam papers in Urdu and English with answer keys to help students prepare. These papers cover the full syllabus under the Single National Curriculum (SNC).

Final Term Paper Composition For SBA 2025 Outlines
For Grades 1 and 2, exams will be oral, while from Grade 3 onwards, they will be written, consisting of five sections: Fill in the Blanks, True/False, MCQs, Column Matching, and Short Questions. Each section will have five questions, with students required to answer four per section, making a total of 20 questions. Each subject carries 100 marks, except Nazra Quran Majeed, which has 50 marks. The subjects for Grades 1-8 include English, Urdu, Mathematics, General Knowledge/Science, and Islamiyat/Ethics, while Grades 4-8 will also have Social Studies (SST) or History & Geography (H&G). Additionally, Grades 6-8 will include Computer Science and Tarjuma-ul-Quran Majeed, while Nazra Quran Majeed will be assessed from Grades 1 to 5.
